As a former student of LB Beauty Academy, I would fully recommend this institution as one of the best cosmetology schools in Virginia. The teaching skills are above average and the courses were well put together. LB Beauty Academy taught me the importance of test taking skills as well as properly preparing me to take the natural hairstyling state board exam. There were so many things that taught me how to increase my clientele and how to identify different hair and scalp disorders to keep my clientele. The academy also provides job placement after the courses are completed. The staff takes the initiative to do an overall critique of any beauty salon or barber shop that a student may be interested in. In conclusion, it is a place of open arms and helping hands. I will definitely come back to LB Beauty for any other courses that I would like to pursue.

As a child, my dream was to own my very own beauty salon. I enrolled in Cosmetology classes during high school, but never completed the program. I never lost my passion for the beauty industry and as time passed, I decided that I needed to fulfill my dream. I explored various cosmetology schools in the area and none compared to LB Beauty Academy. I was attracted to the flexible payment plans and schedules that were offered. No other beauty school offered this level of flexibility. Because of this level of flexibility, I was able to continue my full-time work and take care of all other responsibilities, while at the same time pursuing my childhood dream.

The LB Beauty Academy staff is experienced and provides very constructive criticism, which is very important in this industry. These interactions helped me realize that this beauty academy is not in existence to simply collect my hard-earned money, but to help me become a true beauty professional.
