Q: When do new classes start?
A: Classes at LB never stop. We keep going and going. New students start weekly.
Q: When are classes held?
A: On site classes are held on Monday and Tuesday from 10-3p.m. and 5-9p.m. Students attend one or both sessions. Online classes are available 24 hours. On the job training (OJT) hours are flexible. Tutoring or special classes are available by appointment.
Q: Does LB Offer Financial Aid?
A: Financial aid is not available. We offer interest free payment plans. Tuition fees are low to allow students to pay out of pocket.
Q: How long does it take to complete a program?
A: Credit hours are given to students who demonstrate proficiency and competency in subject matters. Students’ completion dates are determined by their comprehension and skill level.
Q: Can students work in a salon while in school?
A: Yes. We encourage on the job training. Supervision by a license professional is necessary. State regulations specify what duties students can and can not perform without a license.
Q: Who qualifies for the refresher programs?
A: LB’s refresher program is open to persons who have had previous training. Tests are administered to determine skill level. Students are allowed to roll up the tuition fee and hours to the full program.
Q: Who qualifies for the exempt programs?
A: LB’s exempt program is open to persons who have had previous training. This is a “test out” program. A minimum score of 75% on a comprehensive test and a good to excellent score on a performance exam is the tool used for this program. Students are allowed to roll up the tuition fee and hours to the refresher program.
Q: What is LB's refund policy?
A: There is no refund on LB’s exempt and refresher programs after the first day of class. Refunds in other programs are based on a percentage of attendance.
Q: Does LB accept hours from other schools?
A: Yes. Hours are important and we do consider them in our training. However, we focus on proficiency, competency, knowledge and skills.
